Warre's Vintage Port 1963

79/100

Warre's Vintage Port 1963 (without label)

Ripe black plum cooked red plum Damson jam distinctive spicy szechuan peppercorn hint of almond and walnut

Full body

High acidity

Med minus firm tannins

High alcohol

Pronounced intensity

Long finish

The wine lack of complexity probably due short decanting (6 hours), however the wine is still in great shape as the structure is holding well except the tannins and the flavours are now after 53y well balanced to each other. Very good quality!
