Escaleras de Empedrado Pinot Noir Empedrado 2014

81/100

@familiatorres1870 Escaleras de Empedrado Pinot Noir Empedrado 2014

Rich slate clay-like earthiness red gamey and black cherry red currant toasted wood, on palate red cherry pomegranate

Med plus body

Med plus acidity

Med soft tannins

Med plus alcohol

Pronounced intensity

Long finish

This is the most espensive Pinot Noir of Chile, or probably of all South America fully grown on terraces of steep slopes with Licorella soil, very rare for Chile. However I believe the wine lack of complexity due the relatively young vines but its all in place to become the star in the future
